Key Elements of the Golf Swing, 2: Halfway Back

The Halfway back position or the 9 o'clock position is the next movement after the Take -Away. The elements in this movement are as follows,

: the wrists are fully cocked & set & if you look in a mirror you should be able to see the clubface facing you

: the left arm is comfortably straight & parallel to the ground with the right arm visible & above.(Tiger Woods image)

: from behind if you look in a mirror the hands should be in the centre of the chest(Tiger Woods image)

: the club should be taken back slightly steeper than the swing plane with the butt end of the club pointing at     the golf ball

: the shoulders have turned  two thirds or 60 degrees to the right

: the body has now started to rotate to the right also
